OAS apprentice Ben Morley of Harwell-based company Element Six was honoured at the recent Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2019.

Ben (shown above at far left) was given recognition by the Apprenticeship Ambassadors network for his contribution in promoting apprenticeships around the county.

The awards, held at Jurys Inn, Oxford, saw a major OAS involvement behind the scenes too. David Martin and Steve Hall from the OAS project team were among the eight judges assessing the applications for the ten awards.

And OAS partner employer the UK Atomic Energy Authority was headline sponsor, awarding the evening’s top prize – Oxfordshire Apprentice of the Year – to Nairne Barker of Oxfordshire County Council.

Congratulations to all the winners from a fantastic event, which underlined the quality of apprentices and training schemes in the region.
